Dr Tracey Byrne is a Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Remedial Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience, providing medico-legal assessments and expert medico-legal opinions across a range of musculoskeletal, pain, and complementary healthcare matters. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chinese Medicine and Human Biology (RMIT University), a Diploma of Remedial Massage, and is a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist with AHPRA. She is also an Accredited Member of the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).

Dr Byrne provides independent medical assessments and medico-legal reports relating to treatment, causation, appropriateness of care, and clinical outcomes within the scope of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and remedial therapy. Her assessments are objective, evidence-informed, and clearly articulated, supporting both plaintiff and defendant matters.

Her medico-legal expertise includes:

· Assessment of musculoskeletal injuries and pain conditions (including headaches, migraines, back pain, and arthritis)

Dr Byrne’s clinical background spans private practice, teaching, and professional governance, including roles on Education and Ethics Committees within the Massage and Myotherapy sector. She has also delivered education and training to healthcare professionals and supervised clinical practice, reinforcing her strong foundation in best practice and professional standards.

She completed a clinical internship at the Jiangsu Provincial TCM Hospital (Nanjing, China) and integrates traditional Chinese medicine principles with contemporary clinical understanding, enabling a well-rounded perspective in both clinical and medico-legal contexts.

Dr Byrne is available to provide independent medico-legal assessments, expert medico-legal opinions, and detailed reports for matters involving personal injury, public liability, and treatment-related claims, with assessments conducted in person or via telehealth where appropriate.
