Dr Lionel Lubitz

Dr Lionel Lubitz is a Paediatrician who has worked in the field of general paediatrics as a consultant paediatrician for 38 years. He has recently retired from the Department of General Medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, but was formerly Deputy Director of that Department.

He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne and continues to work in private practice. He is experienced in general paediatrics and managing children and adolescents with developmental problems and learning issues. He has special interests in chronic fatigue syndrome and adolescent health. His multidisciplinary management approach to chronic fatigue syndrome and somatization disorders is internationally renowned.

His qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Lubitz is able to provide reports in medicolegal cases with emphasis on medical negligence matters.
