Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Glen Craig is a Gold Coast-based consultant psychiatrist with dual training in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, offering extensive experience in medico-legal assessments and independent psychiatric evaluations. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), holds advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and is a member of the RANZCP Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Section of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. He also holds AMA 5th Edition and PIRS (Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale) accreditation.

 

Dr Craig provides expert psychiatric opinion across a wide range of civil and statutory matters, including:

  • Workers’ compensation and personal injury claims
  • Motor vehicle (CTP) claims
  • Public liability and institutional abuse matters
  • Total and permanent disability (TPD) and superannuation claims
  • Fitness-for-duty and return-to-work assessments

 

He is highly experienced in assessing psychiatric conditions in children, adolescents, and adults up to 60 years of age, including:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Depression and anxiety disorders
  • Historical abuse and trauma-related conditions

 

Dr Craig combines his clinical expertise in neurodevelopmental and trauma-related disorders with a collaborative, evidence-based approach, delivering clear, impartial, and court-ready reports. He has previously held academic appointments as Associate Lecturer at Griffith University and the University of Queensland and has extensive experience working with schools, multidisciplinary teams, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment.

 

Based on the Gold Coast, Dr Craig is available for in-person, telehealth, or video-link medico-legal assessments and provides expert psychiatric opinions for both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of civil, statutory, and compensation matters.
