Dr Ben Gelbert is a paediatric intensive care specialist with extensive experience in paediatric, adult, emergency and hospital-based intensive care medicine. He has been a staff intensivist at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, since 2012, and has also worked at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Geelong University Hospital and Austin Hospital.
Dr Gelbert provides expert medicolegal opinions and undertakes independent medical assessments in matters involving critically unwell children and adults. He is experienced in preparing clear, impartial and evidence-based medicolegal reports for both plaintiff and defence across a broad range of jurisdictions. He is available for file reviews, independent medical examinations, and expert consultations via in-person assessment, telehealth, video or telephone.
